If The Shoe Fits…
Ok, Ok, mummy bought herself a new pair of boots but because mummy loves her kids and mostly because the kids are growing up too fast, I also went crazy on the shoes at Zara Kids for Arthur and Morgane…
And these Cool Brown Velcro Shoes for Arthur.
I wonder why my Other Half has decided to hide my bank card?....
I Love Autumn...
Autumn is my favorite season and soon we’ll be entering it… I love how fresh the air smells. How I get to snuggle up inside and enjoy an open fire or simply watch the rain fall heavy outside the window. I love autumn clothes - no wait! Scratch that! I ADORE THEM. I also indulge in hot cups of coffee. Marvel at the colors of nature surrounding us. and can't wait to jump through puddles and leaves with the kids. I love the crisp mornings. And the cool nights, when cuddling up under your duvet on the sofa seems like a perfectly OK thing to do. I love buying books and knowing I will have lots of evenings in to read them. I mean, really, what is not to love about autumn?!
I plan to curl up a lot this season and dive into stories and tales and be moved and inspired and amused.
So as I am gearing up for the new season: meet my brand new boots!
From beginning of Autumn until the end of winter I spend most of my time in boots. So I don’t feel guilty at all buying these new ones, because I know they won’t be hiding in my closet. I’m already fantasizing on how I’m going to pair these lovely boots of mine with my clothes… Classic, cool, smart and the perfect height, I HEART them.

I also bought this beautiful square-shaped sweater at Zara. The advantage of being petite is that I can get clothes from Zara and Zara Kids and I’m not ashamed to say that this comes from Zara Kids! What?! A bargain is a bargain, and as I always says: “If it looks good, no matter where it comes from wear it!”
Add to this some comfy black leggings and I was off to go drop the kids at school and then to work….Autumn, Oh how I’ve missed you!!!

For Arthur and Morgane...
"No one else will ever know the strength of my love for you. After all; you are the only one who knows what my heart sounds like from the inside."

Back to school is so cool Mummy!
This is the picture of the kids on their 1st day of school last year….
…. And here is a picture of them this morning.
Arthur is 1st year of elementary - Morgane on her 2nd yearof kindergarten
(notice how they have grown?!)
I’m going to try to take a photo on the same spot each year. This is my way of making up for the fact that I will never scrapbook and also, because I haven’t put actual photos in a photo album in more than… well never…yeah, I get lazy, I know…
While Other Half and I really enjoyed our time with them…it’s time for us all to have our own lives again. They were trying to kill each other at this point which, at some point, gave me the sensational idea to lock them in a room to duke it out and see who would be left standing. A cage match for short people if I may. All my bets were on Morgane :o)
I met Arthur’s new teacher again, she seemed very calm and very prepared so I hope that she willreally have the qualities that I was hoping for and that she will support Arthur the best way possible…
Anyway to all the parents out there, I hope you children had a fabuleous 1st day at school!

It's back to school soon!!!
Breath, breath… Can you smell it? What what?! You know what I mean. The smell, this smell just now; the smell of new pens, new binders, new crayons and markers, the smell of new backpacks, new clothes, and you know what that means. It’s almost back to school day!
When kids go back to school. The heavens open. The angels sing, and I get to dance with joy.
Morgane will be entering her 2nd year of kindergarten and Arthur will be in his 1st year of elementary. Morgane is keeping the same teacher as last year. I adore her teacher. She's kind and hands on, and very sweet with the children. Now, myy biggest hope is that Arthur will be happy with his new teacher.
Remember on Mary Poppins, when Jane and Michael wrote a letter and asked for the perfect nanny? The dad was stunned when Mary Poppins handed him the list that he had thrown into the fire. It went something like this:
“If you want this choice position, have a cheery disposition; rosy cheeks, no warts; play games, all sorts. You must be kind, you must be witty, very sweet and very pretty; take us on outings, give us treats, sing songs, bring sweets.”
For more than a month now, this song has been going through my mind. That famous wish list.
I have a wish list of my own, and it goes like this:
Wanted: TEACHER. Must be sweet, even-tempered, hip, funny, pretty, smart, young, experienced and energetic. Must never yell, get mad, throw things or lose her temper. Must be very patient, wear stylish clothes, have a lovely laugh and smell like fresh baked cookies.
I’ve met Arthur’s new teacher once before school ended last June. She’s young but does she have all the other qualification? Only time will tell… I only hope that she is committed to her job and to the kids. I’ll hope she’ll have time to know my child inside and out: that she’ll listen when he talks about what he likes and dislikes, what he cares about, that she’ll push him to be independent, self-sufficient, confident and responsible. That she’ll guide him when things don’t go his way and will laugh with him (and applaud) when they do. That she will push him until he reaches the potential that we know he has, and that she will be there when he falls, to pick him back up, dust him off and start him back up that hill.
It’s a bit a definition of being a mom, but after all, the teacher has the privilege to spend more time than I do with the children, and even if I often complain, these time are precious… So I hope she’ll step up to the plate, and that everything will run smoothly…
